Edward J. Slater, Jr. - Principal - Slater Builders

Edward J. Slater, Jr. founded Slater Builders Inc. in 1993 after 11 years in commercial and industrial real estate with The Seeley Company. He started the company with his wife Liz, his brother Joe and his father Ed Sr. Slater Builders’ philosophy of business mirrored Ed Sr.’s — name and reputation come first.

Under Liz and Ed’s direction, Slater Builders has since grown to be one of the most respected builders in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, proudly serving such prestigious clients as:

Ed is known for his ability to respond to projects requiring volatile change, challenge and creativity. He has seen large and small retail, commercial, educational campus, hospitality and industrial projects through pre-construction, ground-up, tenant improvements, tilt-up and renovation, while consistently exceeding the expectations of all stakeholders. It is Ed’s skillful management of these diverse services that has allowed Slater Builders to build long-term client relationships.

Outside of work, Ed is a member and past President of the Santa Ana Country Club, active in his church and has been married to his wife Liz for 37 years. Ed and Liz enjoy spending family time with their three children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

Ed received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration Finance from California State University, Fullerton, and is a certified member of DBIA. Ed spends his Saturday mornings working on restoring classic cars and body surfing at the beach.
