Brett Kennedy

Brett’s background in construction started in 1985 at Baldwin Builders in San Diego. In 1996, he moved onto Laidlaw Building and Development Company as an Assistant Project Manager. In 1998, Brett had a big career and travel opportunity and went to work for Brown & Root as an overseas Project Engineer in Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Albania for the United States Army Peacekeeping Forces. His responsibilities included the coordination of various fast-track construction projects during the Infrastructure Upgrade Program.

Brett joined Slater Builders Inc. in 2000 and was with the company for 13 years before leaving for a family need. Slater welcomed Brett back to the company in 2015. His extensive management experience continues to contribute to the success of his projects. His analytical and technical abilities have allowed him to manage a wide variety of complex projects, including: educational and campus facilities, commercial offices and warehouses, retail stores, and shopping centers. Brett is known for his attention to detail, plan knowledge, teamwork, and leadership abilities that help to complete the project on time and with quality workmanship.

In his downtime, Brett loves going to the beach in his home town of Solana Beach in San Diego, spending time with his family, watching football, and rooting on the Chelsea Football Club.
