LIZABETH S. SLATER
CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Liz, as the founding shareholder and Chief Executive Officer, collaborates with the Executive Team to manage all company operations. With her immediate team, she oversees the firm's financial risk management and daily financial responsibilities, which encompass client and sub-partner accounts, contracts, insurance, human resources, banking, and bonding.
Slater Builders Inc. proudly holds the designation of a certified Woman Business Enterprise, with Liz as the majority shareholder. She attributes Slater Builders' success to hard work, strong client relationships, and a comprehensive plan to meet all building and real estate needs. Under her leadership and with her talented team, the company has achieved contract sales exceeding $800 million.
After graduating in 1981 from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance/Marketing, Liz operated a tennis pro shop in Newport Beach, California, for eight years. Her family includes her husband of 43 years, Ed, and their three children: Jessica (along with her husband Joe and granddaughter Isabel), Ted (with his wife Brianna and grandchildren Lilei, Teddy, Kennedy, and Emmie), and Hannah. In her leisure time, Liz enjoys playing golf and spending time with her family.
Additionally, Liz founded a non-profit organization called Mae House. Inspired by the family’s youngest daughter, the vision of Mae House is to provide a residential community and home for adults with developmental disabilities to live active engaging lives.
