Private Beach Club

This private Beach Club consisted of an existing 1 and 2 story Type V building originally constructed in 1923 and expanded through a number of additions throughout its history. Our expansion assignment consisted of constructing a 1-story + basement addition, renovation, and remodel with the following scope:

• Replacement of existing commercial kitchen serving on-site full-service dining facilities.
• Replacement of existing “Grill” kitchen serving on-site limited-service dining facility.
• Replacement of existing maintenance and other back-of-house service facilities.
• Remodel of existing bar and seating areas for use as a limited-service dining facility with attached bar.
• Expanded the existing basement. Barrier free basement to replace and expand storage lost at first floor / grade level, laundry and employee service areas.
• Replace all MEP systems serving the commercial kitchen.
• Renovation within and extension of existing building envelope in the area of work to include seismic strengthening, mat foundation and area separations as required by building code.
• New trash enclosure building and outdoor receiving area per City standards.
