St. Mark’s Preschool

St. Mark’s Preschool project involved constructing a brand-new facility featuring four classrooms designed to accommodate up to 64 children, all arranged in an L-shaped layout that integrates an outdoor play courtyard. The initial phase required the demolition of an 1,800 square foot Before-Care/After-Care building, along with the existing basketball court and the staircase connecting the upper and lower campuses.

Subsequently, we built a new 4,800 square foot preschool, enhanced by a 7,100 square foot play area. A new basketball court was also created, along with a ramp linking the upper campus to the lower campus. Additionally, we constructed a staircase from the upper campus to the preschool yard, and another staircase and ramp leading from the basketball/preschool area to the lower playfield. To improve accessibility, we established new van-accessible parking spaces.

“Working alongside Slater Builders was the most outstanding construction experience of my (rather long) career.

The team leadership brought precision of presence, communication, and discipline to the construction process, as well as a good deal of fun.

Most importantly, the conscientious craft and follow-through of Slater’s subcontractors resulted in a lovingly constructed building.”
